Celestial

Paradiso
Also referred to as Heaven, Paradiso is the main realm where angels and other light entities originate from. It is a realm of structure and law. Its location among the stars make it the most difficult realm to travel to and from. Celestial beings are the rarest type of supernatural being on earth.

Angels
Any being that is from Paradiso is referred to as an angel. While there are many types of angels, most tend to have multiple eyes, wings, and a blinding white that makes them incredibly dangerous to look upon. They are primarily spiritual beings, not often tied to laws of physics, and are more dangerous to beings with lower vibrational frequencies, such as demons. The ones who have traveled to earth primarily stay in a human form, as to not injure the life around them.

Nephilim
The offspring between humans and angels are Nephilim. Incredibly rare, these hybrids are mostly humans born with halos, which gives them celestial abilities. These halos often appear as a gold ring found anywhere on the Nephilim's body that glow white when in use. They can also sometimes appear as golden circles around the pupils. While not all Nephilim have the same abilities, they are typically able to manifest wings for either flight or protection, create weapons of light, and have healing abilities. Supernatural ailments, such as vampirism, do not affect them.
Katherine Leblanc
One of the few Nephilim on earth and Kit's mother. Katherine is somewhat revered within the supernatural realms due to her skills, but caused a lot of controversy when she married a demon and was somehow able to produce a child. She is hard to find and is often traveling the world with her husband.

Limbo
Referred to by the fair folk as Under the Roots, Limbo is the realm from which all faeries are born. The realm overlaps directly with the natural world and can be interacted with through liminal spaces. They are neither lawful nor chaotic, but rather sit in the middle. However, Limbo is dangerous and uninhabitable to humans. It is somewhat easy to get in, but impossible to leave.

Faeries
Entities that come from Limbo are faeries. This includes different types of nature spirits, elementals, and more. While some of the fey are eager to help humans, others are spiteful and often play dangerous tricks on them. Faeries are one of the most common types of supernatural entities on Earth. While faeries can have many different forms, the ones who tend to have ties to earth and interact with humans have pointed ears, very fair hair and eyes, neutral undertones to their skin, and are naturally taller than humans.

Banshee
When humans find themselves traveling into the land of the Fey, as they often do, they end up stuck as their physical body rots away. The spiritual body that is left behind after the death of their physical form is known as a banshee. Their memories are often forgotten, but banshees frequently return to earth to weep over its misfortune. They are known to wail and keen, but others cry silently whenever they sense death is on the horizon. Due to their love of earth outweighing their love for Under the Roots, banshees are often outcasts among the other fey.

Changeling
Certain faeries prefer humans to raise their babies, and so they will replace the human infant with their own. These faeries excel in illusions, and their child develops the same features as the stolen infant, though their skin and hair might vary in color. The faerie changeling, left in place of the human, is often watched from afar until they are grown enough that they can return to Limbo. Meanwhile, the human infant is often discarded or brought to Limbo, where they are sometimes considered as pets due to their short lifespan.
Corruption
When a human enters Limbo, they are immediately affected by its toxic environment. This causes the host's eyes and hair to slowly turn black. It is rare to live past this stage, which lasts roughly a decade. If they persist, however, their skin begins to blacken and go numb, and their hair begins to turn white. Whereas the first stage is filled with pain and suffering, the second one is filled with frigid numbness. It is unknown if the human can live past this stage, or how long it lasts, since they usually succumb to their illness shortly after the first signs appear.

Infernal

Inferno
Known as the Underworld or Hell, Inferno is the dimension overlapping with the center of the earth. All demons originate from here, born from darkness and chaos. Since there is no structure in any regard, Inferno produces the most diverse supernatural entities. It is theoretically accessible to determined humans, but none have ever traveled there, as glimpses of Inferno's chaos are enough to break a human's psyche.

Demons
The entities of darkness that originate from Inferno are demons. While they are not explicitly evil, many of them are in the pursuit of disorder and chaos, since that is what they are most at home in. More violent demons tend to be lower lifeforms that are not capable of full thought, often appearing as horrifying creatures rather than humanoid. Given where the realm overlaps with earth, it is fairly common for demons to emerge from the depths and live on earth. While some prefer the peace on earth, others cause trouble out of either their own confusion or spite for humanity.
Blackblood
Blackblood demons are one of the rarest types of demon. They are incredibly powerful and clever. Ironically, their intelligence makes them very empathetic. They are known for their blood, which appears black and is a powerful acid. They also tend to have tails, horns, and wings, all of which come in various forms. It is rumored they might have been mistaken as angels on earth at one point in time, but have been all but wiped out by their envious subordinates.

August Blackblood
Father to Xavier Leblanc, and grandfather to Kit Black. August made a name for himself traveling the world in pursuit of peace. He aided mankind in any way he could, appearing in folklore across the globe. While he was kind and smart, his terrifying appearance also gave him notoriety, as he was sometimes blamed for tragedies that would happen nearby. After the Blackblood demons had been wiped out, August appeared as a child around the 1700s.

Elijah "Gump" Attor
Elijah, sometimes referred to as Gump among those who follow him, is a corrupted celestial entity that poses as an ancient demon. His true motives are to eliminate any supernatural being from earth, though he has earned many infernal followers who perceive him as simply trying to cause as much chaos as possible.
